MANU. ECOLOGICAL PROJECT "OTORONGO BLANCO"

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IN THE "MANU BOTANICAL CENTER"

Manu National Park in Peru is the subject of extensive rainforest in the world, with nearly two million hectares, situated south east of Peru between the regions of Cusco and Madre de Dios, very important part of the Amazon basin. In 1977 it was declared by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and in 1987 recognized as a World Heritage Site. Our volunteer program is presented as a great opportunity for those who wish to have direct contact with nature, besides wanting to know and learn more about this wonderful rainforest, also for people who wish to take part in this important role in recovery and preservation of this wonderful place and its components, knowing that this in principle will be of direct benefit to local residents adjacent to the project action area, and second is the benefit of all, as we will be helping to curb the deterioration of our planet.
