The circuit starts when we pick up passengers from the hotel, then we visit the following Archeological and Religious sites:
KORICANCHA
The extraordinarily crafted Temple of the Sun (Templo del Sol) at Koricancha was the most sumptuous temple in the Inca Empire. Some 4,000 priests and their attendants once lived within its confines. Koricancha also served as the main astronomical observatory for the Incas.
SACSAYHUAMAN
Sacsayhuamán used to be an Inca fortress, battles between the locals and the Spaniards took place here. The immense fortress was put together with huge stone blocks, but nobody knows how these components were cut, moved and put into place.
CRISTO BLANCO
Overlooking the city and the valley of Cuzco, the white statue of Christ appears to bless the surrounding countryside.
QENQO
Qenqo is a vast rocky hilltop car into staircases, holes and channels.
PUCAPUCARA
Located 8 kilometers from Cusco and within the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman we find this archaeological site on a small rocky hill.
TAMBOMACHAY
Apparently, it was one of the favorite resting-places of the Incas, used as a resting watering place and, at the same time, it was one of the pillars of the defense system of the Valley of Cusco.
